Although Kuala Terengganu or the local call 'KT" didn't get much hyped as Langkawi, Melaka, Penang, Ipoh & Kota Kinabalu, but this Bandaraya Warisan Pesisir Air has much to offered and perfect for short gateway. Here are a few places that you can visit while at Kuala Terengganu.

Muzium Terengganu

It is not everyone cups of tea but why not get to know the place by visiting the local museum. Personally, I like the building's design and the museum complex comprise of 4 massive houses display attractive architecture which is an inspiration from the old castle in Terengganu. I have the opportunity to see with my own eyes the famous "Batu Bersurat". Typically you may spend about 1 hour here. Another interesting section that you can visit is Nature section where you will see real-life preservation of dolphin, dragon fish and many more!

China Town, Kuala Terengganu

Wandering yourself at China Town and visit the beautiful restaurant and art lane. It also homes to two Chinese temples, Ho Ann Kiong and Tien Hou Kong, which was built in 1801 and 1896. The recent attractions in Kampung Cina are its back alleys, many of which are transformed into art lanes. For example, Turtle Alley, Tauke Wee Seng Hee Cultural Lane. These lanes have become tourist and photography spots.

Pasar Payang.

Stop buy keropok lekor here to bring back home. This new building has 3 storeys high and sells fruits, toys or gifts.

Pantai Batu Buruk

End your day by visiting the nearest beach where you can relax with your friends. Plenty of food stalls nearby.

If you ask me, I would spend 3 days and 2 nights to explore the city of Kuala Terengganu. There are many places to visit, but this my recommendation if you plan to do a short trip. You may stay at Kuala Terengganu for 2 days as a pit stop before heading to the famous Perhentian Island via Kuala Besut Jetty.

Thanks, Terengganu for this awesome experience. I always want to visit here and finally, I did. Will be back for Island!
