Located at Market 88 Place, this place served, well I think, they have great burgers! Like many speciality cafes, Chiu's - The Modern Local have a great interior design, simple but relaxing.
Good for study or gathering?
Depends but a long study session will be a challenge due to limited seating capacity. This cafe's good for brunch for sure and a place for catch up with friends.
Price
As you would expect, a speciality cafe sells the experience so the price is at the premium tier but not that expensive. Roughly a good RM30 per person should be budgeted. That's excluding foods that your souls crave in between.
Menu
The menus are limited at the time we visited, some items not available. Based on my experience visiting other cafes before, this cafe not offering that many choices compared to the same market/cafe types, for example, the dessert section only has three menus but however, it has a great mix between local and modern cuisine. That's why it calls the Modern Local.
